We were so sorry to hear of Jane’s passing. She was a special neighbor of ours many years ago. I had known Joyce in junior high and later met Carl, when we lived next door. Jane was a special grownup in our daughter’s life. When our daughter was about four, Jane would invite her over and paint her fingernails and they thoroughly enjoyed each others company. Our family’s favorite dessert is Jane Specker’s chocolate cake, and that is what we call it. I worked at Blocks with Jane, but in a different department. We all have special memories that will keep her close to us in the days ahead. Our condolences to all of her family.

Condolences from Ron and Katherine Meadows (niece)
It is with much sorrow that we have lost such a remarkable woman. Aunt Mary GÇ£JaneGÇ¥ has always been a positive force in our lives and we will miss her dearly. Words canGÇÖt ever begin to express how much we all will miss her. We will just have to know that she will always be with us: perhaps when we look up at the heavens and see the stars they just might not be stars but rather openings in heaven where her love will pour through and shine down on us to let us know that she is happy.
She is one of the most beautiful persons; inside and out, that I have ever met. Her poise and character was stunning. It greatly saddens me to know that I will not be having our Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon telephone conversations anymore. She would always tell me things that were happening in her life: if Jane (niece) and Dempsey came over or how she could count on Jane calling her every week or so and how thoughtful it was to receive those calls. She would talk about her grandchildren and her friends (whom she had since her Wm. H. Block days). She loved going out to lunch on Thursdays with her friend (and her friendGÇÖs grandson). She would get so excited if Matt was going to join her for lunch or dinner, she would talk about the little ones enjoying the Disney cookies that I would send and she even got excited when she would be waiting on Kyle to come over and mow her lawn. She loved her family and was so proud; she spoke often about Joyce, Kyle, Jonathan and Allison. Explaining how busy Joyce was with the children and all of their activities but still finding time for her.
Our sympathy is with you all but please remember she is resting and peaceful in the heavens – a true angel!
Love,
Kathy and Ron

I was saddened to hear of Jane’s passing. She was a dear friend and neighbor to my mother, Mary Rardon, who passed away this past January. Mary and Jane always looked out for each other over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
